Palissandro Marble is a very fine material with a white background crossed by veins, shades and streaks that range from gold to brown tons, from blue to even black tones. There is a good availability and quarries are located in Northern Italy, in Piemonte.
Palissandro marble, with its extraordinary whiteness, was used to create some of Italy’s most wonderful monuments, above all the Arch of Peace in Milan and the Pavia Cathedral.
